I have been receiving a TON of inquiries as to when my 2008 workshops will be announced.... So, I wanted to get the ball rolling!
Registration is now open for the Raleigh, NC workshop!
The dates for this workshop are: Feb 29th - March 2.
As always, there is room for a very limited amount of people, and in the past, workshops have sold out rather fast!!
Please check out the Workshop Website for all of the details. Also, I have included a link to a direct pay function that includes a $75 discount for early registration.
I will be mailing everyone that has requested to be notified as well, so if you see this blog, and you are on the mailing list, you *will* be getting an email shortly....
Hope to see you there!!

Well......not 21 YEARS -- 21 Megapixels! ;)
Yes, I bought Canon's newest camera...the 1Ds MarkIII! For the last two years, I have been shooting with the previous version: the 1Ds MarkII, but I decided to upgrade.
What that means for clients - Your images will be even higher quality.
What that means for photographers - My previous 1Ds MarkII is FOR SALE! :)
I am asking $4700 for it, and it is in near mint condition. The only exception is a minor paint scuff on the top of the body. It's in otherwise perfect condition... I take incredible care of my equipment, and can provide a list of people that I have sold equipment to in the past. Please contact me for a link that will include photos, and a spec sheet.
Please email me here (serious inquiries only please): [email protected]
Stay tuned for images.... and lots of them. :)

What I hope to achieve with each session is for the person photographed to be able to see their beauty...and I'm not talking about outward appearance -- but the beauty from within. I don't ask for smiles... I ask for honesty. I ask my clients to show me who they are.
I hope what is translated is a beautiful photograph of not what they look like, but *who* they are inside.
Meet Heather...a soulful senior that I photographed last month.

I get emails often asking for an update to my blog, and I have been trying to figure out why exactly it is that I don't update more often. I have always been a person that creates 'rules'... rules for everyday life, rules for fun... everything I want to do usually has something that I 'have' to do preceding it -- which somehow manages to become a priority over what it is that I would like to do. I am not sure why this happens - or how. Sure, there are certain things that have to take priority over posting to my blog, but I am not talking about that. I am more so talking about those things (and I know we all have them) that hold us back...
As humans, we are more often than not our own worst critics. I fall victim to this. I get an amazing amount of hits to my blog on a daily basis - so I know there are people out there watching...(thank you). So, with this post will come a new rule: "No More Rules". No more holding back on things I want to do, and more permission to myself to just 'be' - without restrictions. No more feeling like I don't have anything 'witty enough' to say, or feeling like I have to tell a story with every post. I will just share what comes to mind - sometimes thoughts, sometimes images - sometimes both...sometimes neither...but the point is that I won't let myself feel as if I am waiting for something to be perfect, or better, or different than it is. No more waiting for the next best thing...
I had the opportunity to have a wonderful workshop this past weekend, and what a wonderful bunch they all were. It's more of a personal experience for me - to be surrounded by people that travel great distances to attend. I am constantly in awe. One thing that I struggle with when doing workshops is that I feel like people see me in some sort of way that I do not see myself. By that, I mean: 1) I don't feel as if I am really all that talented, contrary to the emails and recognition that I get, I feel I am pretty average. I am constantly humbled by the talented people that attend, and to those that allow me the opportunity to talk with them, it's an amazing experience. One that I reflect upon regularly. 2) I don't see myself as any different than those who attend. I hope that out of each workshop, people will see and recognize their own individual gifts that they posses. I hope the workshops are a mere catalyst which will enable them to draw what they already have from within - and just to be able to articulate it better after they return home.
With that, here are images from the October workshop... hope you enjoy!

I think I have mentioned that I love shooting seniors, and I have had the blessing of photographing some really really cool people this year. Thanks to all of those that have scheduled with me. I had a blast working with each and every one of you.
Here are a few to share. I have tons of stuff coming... engagements, kids, more seniors, etc... I have been on an editing craze lately - trying to catch up before the workshops begin. I also have more workshop news. For those that are still inquiring about the second Dallas workshop. It has been filled. I actually made an update to the website, but for whatever reason, that update didn't actually take. I apologize for that. I will be taking names for last minute inquiries for Dallas though. Those people will be put on a waiting list, in case...
Also, I do have several locations planned for 2008. Please look for those announcements soon!
Here are some of my favorites from Kyli's session... :)

The first Dallas workshop officially sold out in less than 12 hours. I had NO IDEA that we would have that kind of response!
In lieu of a waiting list, I decided to open up a second set of dates...
Those dates are: November 13, 14, and 15
Please visit the Workshop Website for details on how to register, and current availability.
** I also wanted to let everyone that has been trying to call (clients and workshop attendees) that we have been down with no power (due to the storms last night), and we are working HARD to get everyone's images up as promised. To potential workshop attendees: We are trying as hard as we can to call you all back, but are slightly set back due to this inconvenience! Please know that we will take care of everyone that is on our list! **

Note: I have gotten several emails in regards to the dates of the workshops... There is a "schedule" section on my new Workshop Website, but it's currently being worked on. I hope to have it up and running very soon!
The dates for the two upccoming workshops are as follows:
October: 13 & 14 - Grand Rapids, MI : Urban (with an option to do a third day of Studio Lighting)
November: 9, 10 & 11 - Dallas, TX : Studio Lighting & the Urban Session
Well, yesterday was a lot of fun! We managed to schedule 9 of the 18 attendees for Dallas. There are 9 seats left. We just sent out the email to all people that were on the mailing list. This might just be crazy talk (and please do not hold me to it - because I don't even know if I can swing it), but at this rate, I am not opposed to opening a second date. I haven't decided if that is going to work just yet, but I am not against it. It will have to be right around the same time frame though, if I do, due to travel reasons, etc. Let me see how this goes, I guess. It's possible that Dallas might be seeing more of me that I had origianally thought.
I also wanted to let people know that there are 4 available seats for my October Workshop. I know I had some inquiries over the last few weeks, but unfortunately those people were just added to the mass list that we sent out. Regardless, you will have workshop information one way or the other. Either via this blog, or via the email.
Please don't hesitate to email: [email protected] if you A:) Did not receive the email or B:) Would like to be added to the list for future workshops (yes there will be more!) C:) Would like to reserve a seat for either the Dallas workshop in November (Find the info here) or the October workshop here in Grand Rapids.
I look forward to talking with all of you, and working with a lot of you in the near future!!
On to the next announcement: I have a BRAND NEW WORKSHOP WEBSITE!! I love it! View it here: Brianna Graham Workshops There are a few segments that need to be worked on still. For instance: The calendar isn't working just yet... but all in all, it's here, and I love it. I would *LOVE* to know what you think as well.
Well, that's enough typing for now...must sleep!
More soon!
