What I hope to achieve with each session is for the person photographed to be able to see their beauty...and I'm not talking about outward appearance -- but the beauty from within. I don't ask for smiles... I ask for honesty. I ask my clients to show me who they are.
I hope what is translated is a beautiful photograph of not what they look like, but *who* they are inside.
Meet Heather...a soulful senior that I photographed last month.

Amazing. I love how incredibly beautiful that shoot was. Most photographers get their subject to parade around, and that was the very first thing I noticed about your session, about how fresh it was for me to look at. I really enjoyed all of those images.

Wow she looks so much older than me and I am a senior, and my name is Heather also. Gosh these are amazing! Any tips for us lowly first timers at senior portraits who do no have the amazingness of your talent?

Brianna--I read in your new blog post that you ask your clients to show you who they are. I so want that in mine. I feel like it is so hard for me to shoot what I see in my mind b/c they think pictures are all about the smiles and poses. How do you get them to act so natural? I am really trying hard but can't quite get it going. I love your Sr pics of Heather. Phenom composition, color, and lighting! Thank you!-Jamie
