Well here it is - my first workshop ever. I had a blast with 11 very talented out of state photographers who came to my studio, despite tons of snow, flight delays, and lost luggage to hear me speak for two days about studio lighting techniques, business, marketing, post processing, and the like.
I am completely flattered that the wonderful photographers that attended traveled such distances to come to the studio! We had a wide range, from award winning wedding photographers, to fellow children photographers, some traveled from Washington, Deleware, Georgia, Iowa, Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, and more.
We had great models, great food, and great conversation. I have heard wonderful reviews already! I wanted to thank you ALL for such a great time, and to those that have shared their images that you shot during group time - I am so proud of ALL of you!
This is the first of several that I have coming up. Our April workshop will be a blast too, and is already booked - with a waiting list. We also have October (availability still - sorry, no Michigan photographers), and possibly Dallas and Toronto as well in 2007 (dates TBD - depending upon interest).

Here are some images of the models that I shot while instructing. Attendees then were able to photograph the same models as well, and might I say came out with some wonderful images!
I also want to note that for my workshops, the models that I demonstrated with were not clients or models that I have worked with before. I wanted to have the workshop be as honest and true to life as possible, and show true interaction. The models that we worked were just real kids, and they did a GREAT job!! Thanks to them as well!!
